Simons Foundation & MƒA Donate $250,000 to DonorsChoose.org for #BestSchoolDay

Image removed. The Simons Foundation and MƒA are excited to participate in the DonorsChoose.org #BestSchoolDay, a surprise “flash funding” of classroom project requests posted on DonorsChoose.org for communities across the country! Today, our organizations have chosen to donate $250,000 specifically to all Bronx public school teachers who have submitted on DonorsChoose.org as a part of #BestSchoolDay. That means we’re funding classroom project requests, including books, science equipment, field trips, and more for these teachers.

"We’re so proud to support the projects that teachers have identified as key to their students’ success," said Boyana Konforti, Director of Education & Outreach at the Simons Foundation.

“MƒA is participating in #BestSchoolDay because we believe teachers know best what they need for their classrooms and students,” said John Ewing, MƒA President.

DonorsChoose.org is challenging the public to join in #BestSchoolDay, which can be done by donating to classroom projects on their website for public school teachers and students nationwide.
