Director of Programming

Courtney Ginsberg is the Director of Programming. She works with teachers, expert facilitators, and the PD team to design a diverse and robust professional development program for math, science, and computer science teachers with MƒA fellowships. She joined the staff in the summer of 2018.

Before MƒA, Courtney taught mathematics for 10 years, primarily at Humanities Preparatory Academy. She has served as a NYC DOE Model Teacher, STEM Inquiry Team Leader, Robotics Team Coach, Student Advisor, and more throughout her teaching career. Courtney is also a former MƒA Master Teacher. Throughout her fellowship, she led PLTs and mini-courses with her peers. She was a founding organizer of the MƒA Summer Think, planning themes, workshops, and logistics surrounding the teacher-led conference. 

Courtney earned both a B.S. and M.A. in Mathematics Education at New York University, receiving numerous honors, including the Mayor’s Graduate Scholarship and the Steinhardt School Outstanding Achievement Award in Mathematics Education. Courtney lives in New Jersey with her husband, children, and dog and loves crafting, volunteering, and cheering on the New York Mets.
